Mooncake (月饼), 中秋节快乐!

Yesterday (20230929) is the mid-autum festival, a traditional festival in China. Ethic Chinese across the world especially in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc also celebrate it. This festival typically falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month when the moon is at its fullest and brightest, symbolizing unity, change, and a bountiful harvest.

The full moon that graces the night sky during the Mid-Autumn Festival is a powerful symbol of unity and reunion. It serves as a reminder of the importance of family and loved ones coming together, no matter how far apart they may be during the rest of the year.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is also a time to celebrate the harvest, a period of abundance and gratitude.

Mooncakes are the symbolic pastry during this festival for Chinese. It symbolises the completeness and reunion for its round shape. Over this day, each family will prepare lots of food for worshiping before eating.
